Liturgy
The Liturgical Ministries consist of the following groups: Liturgy Committee, Lectors, Music Ministry, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers and others.
The Liturgy Committee's primary purpose is to plan, prepare and evaluate our liturgies in conjunction with the documents of the church and guidelines and directives from the Diocese of Sacramento pertaining to liturgy. If you are interested in serving on the Liturgy Committee, please contact the parish office.
Extraordinary minister of Holy Communion are commonly referred to as Eucharistic Ministers. They serve the Church by distributing Holy Communion during Mass or to those unable to attend mass. If you are interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister, please contact the parish office.
When the Scriptures are read in the Church, God himself is speaking to his people, and Christ, present in his own word, is proclaiming the gospel. Lectors serve the Church by reading the scripture suited to the form of celebration and to the solemnity of the gathering. If you are interested in becoming a Lector, please contact Anita Okellyburchett by leaving a message with the parish office.
Music serves and enhances the Liturgy and is a form of prayer. Those a part of this ministry help all who gather to celebrate Christ’s Paschal Mystery in becoming One Body, One Spirit.
The Parish Choir provides music for the 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mass. Choir rehearsal is every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m and rehearsal for singers is Wednesday at 8:30 a.m at the church. The Parish Spanish Choir provides music for the 12:00 p.m. Sunday Mass. Choir rehearsal is every Monday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall.
